You should get both; the port trees go in /usr/ports and /usr/dfports,
respectively. The port overrides (dfports) exist because not all of the
FreeBSD versions of the ports build on DFly anymore. If a port override
exists, the port system should build it instead of the original fbsd
port.
If you want smooth port usage, I'd recommend against setting CCVER=gcc3
in /etc/make.conf, by the way. We don't define __FreeBSD__ in that
compiler, and many of the ports don't seem to like that.
