This one is odd. I just tried and it seems the installer doesn't copy the CD's /usr/pkg/etc to the hard disk. I'll investigate and fix it.


I suspect that this is also the reason for the xml catalog issues people were reporting.

The locate database is two days old and has the same time as the install log.

Generally, the locate database in a freshly installed system (that is, before the database update has run via the weekly periodic) reflects the contents of the LiveCD. So some slight differences are to be expected (mainly in /etc since the /etc the LiveCD uses is a little bit different from the /etc going to the hard disk).


But these two files are both valid issues. Thanks for the report.
