ioctl DIOCSDINFO: the disk already had a label of a different type

Hi:

i'm trying to install DragonflyBSD 2.4.1 on a Intel P4 2.3GHz
32-bit system, on which earlier i was using FreeBSD 7.x

The installer starts up fine. On selecting 'Use the entire disk'
and then 'use Hammer FS' the following error entry is seen in
the log.

,-<<< Executing `/sbin/disklabel64 -B -r -w ad0s1 auto'
disklabel64: ioctl DIOCSDINFO: the disk already has a label of a
different type, 
probably a 32 bit disklabel. It must be cleaned out first.
`->>> Exit status: 1

How do i clear the disklabel ?
