I'm also giving you a wild guess ;o)  If that really is a dot which
prints on the screen following the colon, then it looks like the
syscons script has already finished running successfully by the
time the freeze happens.  (If I'm reading the scripts right...)
According to your settings, it looks like the syscons script
should do nothing anyway, and hence has no reason to fail.


According to `rcorder -s nostart /etc/rc.d/*` the next script to run
should be sshd.  Maybe adding an echo to that script would prove me
right or wrong.
