But hey. I might be biased, and i've only really used OpenBSD and
DragonFlyBSD .. but from the kernel specs of linux... it scales
beastly now...


SGI is doing SSI on that beast, and using alot custom hardware to
facilitate syncronization.  So yes linux on custom hardware can kick
ass. :-)

That argument is the same if FreeBSD were to be given the same advantage that the Linux world had from IBM, SGI, etc.
