C-media 8738 4 channel mode

Hi all,

I have a $SUBJECT sound card, kldloaded snd_cmi, and my front speakers.
sub and center work as expected. I can't however get the two rear speakers
to work, the sound card has a mode (a flag): 4 channel mode which
unfortunately doesn't show up in any mixer app. In FreeBSD 5 probably with
the new "sound" device, it shows up and works. Does anyone have experience
in getting this sound card do 4 channel sound?
