Maybe not right place for this question, but i'll ask it either.
I'm going to buy notebook and i've found an interesting one based on
Transmeta CPU. But i'm yet in doubt because of videochip. It is XGI
Volari XP5. Did anybody used such hardware on bsd? I know that there's
a linux driver for that chip, what chances to get this driver working on
dfly?

Pretty slim. Besides, TransMeta has announced that they're going to stop developing CPU's, so it's a Crusoe, which is a bad performer (and on par with the Pentium-M where power usage is concerned). XGI's Volari series aren't the best of graphics cards either, with only the V8 Pro performing adequately when its price is concerned. I strongly advise you to go the Intel Pentium-M path, perhaps with the whole Centrino marketing stuff. Both the internal 855GM chipsets graphics adapter and the popular ATi and nVidia adapters work perfectly under Xorg.
