NFS, DVD Playback

I'm having a couple of annoying problems here, that maybe someone
can help me with.

----------
problem 1
----------
When the machine boots, one of my NFS file systems (/home)
always fails to mount (but gives no error).
The relevant lines from fstab are:

trogdor:/usr/ports /usr/ports nfs rw 0 0
trogdor:/home /home nfs rw 0 0

However, I have no problem mounting this after logging in with a
"mount trogdor:/home /home" ... I've tried a number of different
combinations, such as changing the order in fstab, and using the
full server name. Nothing seems to make it work the way it should.

I have no trouble mounting these shares from FreeBSD 4.11,
Ubuntu, or Mac OS 10.3 (the NFS server is running FreeBSD 4.11).

Any ideas?

----------
problem 2
----------
I'm having trouble making mplayer play dvds. It can
play everything just fine except dvds. I always get the error:
"FATAL: Could not initialize video filters (-vf) or video
output (-vo)."

I solved this problem once before, but I can't remember how. And
I recall the solution had nothing to do with what the error implied.
All I did before was create a link from acd0c to racd0c,
But that doesn't seem to work any more. After doing
this latest update with buildworld/installworld it is now broken
again. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks in advance,

James
