Below is an example of what happens when I try to build a port which
depends on another port that is not installed. I updated the ports tree
today, and I am running a current system a few days old. It used to work
just fine. Any ideas?
Thanks,

Hmm.. I will look into that.

I have good news and bad news. The good
news for me is that make isn't the problem :-)
The bad news is that there is a problem.
I compiled a version of make from March 18, and I still
had the same problem.
I can cause it by going into /usr/ports/shells/bash-completion
and typing make install.
So I will work on finding out what is causing this.
Thanks for reporting the problem.
Max
