One other option, lets call it E;
E) We delay the 2.12 release to mid/end-November, include Matt's VM
patchset; a month is not a great amount of time for the patchset to
stabilize, but its a lot better than releasing in October. Perhaps we
could re-evaluate in November, based on how well the system is
running.
