Yes, see the section "Variant Symlinks" in the ln(1)
manual page, and the varsym(1) manual page.

This is one of the DF features that I _really_ miss
in FreeBSD.  :-)  (In fact, patches exist, but they
probably won't hit the repository anytime soon.)
