I think we are safe (on this issues at least) with 2-digit
dates for another 90+ years[1].

And a single letter: R, S, C, X

- I stuck the 'DF' in 'coz of all the times I've seen folks
going back and forth over entirly different 'races' of
code before they twigged to that.
