	That is not the way to resolve the issue.  Instead, one
	needs to make workaround for these ports as they go along.
	I have/had a few patches floating around to address the
	various ports but my machine is not up yet so can't get
	to them.

	And yes... they are required changes.

	I have patches for xosview, net-snmp etc.
