It's for tonight.  I took yesterday to upgrade the hardware in my main
workstation box:

AMD Athlon 850 MHz to Athlon XP 2200+,
added 512 MB memory to get 1 GB (dual channel),
and added a RTL 8169S card (guess which driver gets updated tonight?) :)

The kobj stuff was a commit I needed to do before I could switch to
makeobjops.awk so that the make release doesn't depend on perl for the
kernel (which should solve Simon's build machine issues).  After doing
that I will get to the floppies (I hope).
