    Try turning on emergency interrupt polling and see if that solves the
    sound problem.

    sysctl kern.emergency_intr_enable=1
    sysctl kern.emergency_intr_freq=20

    The real issue here is that our interrupt routing is horribly out of
    date, and it isn't an easy thing to port from the current best
    implementation available, which is in FreeBSD.
