Ahh, but there lies the crux doesn't it?

This was one of those things mergemaster was supposed to handle since a user
might very well (buddha forbid) have used those same uids or gids.  And we
don't want to overwrite that.

Not saying it cannot be scripted or whatever, but it will be a fun one!
