ed1 (pccard ed) broken since somewhere in march - does not attach to media properly (LINK LED being off and card not working at all)

Hello!

	For about 2 weeks (dont hang me for not being precise enough!) I have 
problems using my NE2000 compatible 16-bit PCMCIA card. In the past it 
worked flawlesly - every time. But in the last 2 weeks this is getting 
very rare.

If the card is present while booting the kernel then I have about 50/50 
chance  of working. If I insert it later i have 20 to 40% chance to work 
right away. Thing manifest itself as not turning on the LINK LED on the 
card even though dfly properly recognizes and announces it as ed1 card. 
If I manually detach it and insert it again dfly locks up and power 
button is the only way to proceed. Usually I activate it by running 
dhclient manually, but when LINK is not turned on even ifconfig magic 
does not help.

Today I reinstalled everything from ISO 20040317b, but no luck. 
Unfortunately I can not go into DDB to check things there.
