:be defined by either xxx.h or yyy.h, and yet xxx.h can not
:bring in all the symbols of yyy.h (and visa-versa).

    Yah, but FreeBSD-5 went a bit overboard on that score.  I'm cleaning it
    all up now.  I'm about half way through.
